I just wanted to say Thank You!  I had the best time at the HHA on Sunday.  I wish I could have come for both days!  I learned so much!  I bought several things from various vendors and attended as many classes as I could.  I am studying the various handouts I got from the vendors and plan to schedule appointments for both me and my horse.

Thanks again for really fantastic time.  I am going to bring tons of my horsey friends next year!

Great job!

I was a volunteer for the fair. I did go inside and on Sat. I listened to Cindi Loader when she gave a demonstration with her horses and it was very good. On Sun. I went in and listened to Phill on Equine Dentistry and then went over to the demonstration area and watched Phill and a Vet. do dental work on a horse. I thought it was very informative and helpful. Overall, I thought it was a very good experience. Thank you for putting it on.

Congratulations on a fabulous weekend! I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my time Saturday. Met so many great people and especially enjoyed Wendy Murdoch and the ladies from Tallgrass. I have admired them for a long time and it was a thrill to get to meet them. I can’t think of another venue that I have attended where I was able to have so much one-on-one time with such knowledgable horseman. I LOVED the format – very low-key and friendly.

The vendors were also great – I could have spent tons of money – as it is I purchased an amazing print from Susan Williams entitled “Wind Beneath Your Wings” mounted on aluminum…..truly one of a kind. I walked out with many books purchased and some new-found knowledge.

Thanks for all your hard work. I loved, loved, loved this event!!

So, about the HHA. Overall, I really enjoyed it and felt the organizers did an excellent job in putting it all together. I liked the variety of speakers. The speakers were all very knowledgeable on their topics and good presenters. Their passion for what they are doing was apparent.

As with any event where there are concurrent sessions, I had trouble choosing at times. For example, at the end of Saturday I wanted to go to the composting talk but was in the middle of another session and didn’t want to leave. Had I been able to attend both days that might not have been an issue but I suspect many people were only able to go for one day.

There are a couple of things I might recommend. First “make” the speakers use a microphone. At one demo it wasn’t used and it was very hard to hear the speaker as she moved around to show things on the horse. The other thought would be to replace one of the round table sessions with a second demonstration area if space would allow. Being able to see or even participate would enhance the experience

Only thing was so many speakers that over lapped that I couldn’t see all that I was interested in. I really enjoyed Wendy Murdochs demo and Katelyn Kent’s round table on bits.

I loved it too. Wendy Murdoch is amazing and I loved seeing her riders improve

Erin and Robin,

Just a quick note to congratulate you on your generous efforts for our equine friends. Having promoted
“alternative” for 10 years now I feel a great sense of hope from your success at combining what, in some
cases, might be considered opposing modalities for the sake of our horses. It is indeed time for one and
all to check their egos at the door for the better good.

Your can rest now with the satisfaction of a job well done!

Sincerely,

Jan Scott
