“A Holistic Approach to Lameness – Are You Balancing Your Horse’s Care?”
Lameness is often looked at as a focal problem, one leg , one tendon, one
small piece of bone. What causes these problems? What makes some of them so
chronic? With all the diagnostics and cutting edge therapies why do injuries
still not heal? Maybe you are not balancing your horse’s care. Learn how to
take a step back and look at your horse. Understand why the horse with the
hunters bump won’t heal a rear suspensory, why that low heel in front may
really indicate a problem with your horse’s hind end, should you buy that
horse that always rests the left hind?? Be your own detective in this
complicated world of performance / soundness issues in horses. Learn how to
recognize when lameness/performance problems are symptoms of an animal
whose body may be physically or energetically out of balance. Understand
the different roles of your veterinarian, chiropractor, acupuncturists,
farrier, massage therapists etc and how to create a successful team.
