Holistic Horse Care Cooperative, LLC intends to host at least 1 Meet and Greet per month. The intent of the HHCC Meet & Greet is to provide a forum for networking and education.
Details are as follows:
- HHCC business members with 4 guests attend for free.
- HHCC supporter members attend for $5.
- Non-HHCC members are encouraged and welcome to attend for $15 per person.
- The day is organized by the host with help from the HHCC as needed – any fees collected are split 50/50 by HHCC and the host.
If the venue allows, the HHCC Meet & Greets include an opportunity for some good horsey fun time. Participants may bring their horses for a trailride, or a play time with games or just riding in an indoor or outdoor arena. Our HHCC mission includes the active participation of our horses as we are able. Since we are all about the horses, it is nice when we can include them.
Transition with an HHCC member provided potluck lunch — host provides a spot to warm up foods (if needed – firepits OK) and a place to keep foods cold (coolers OK) and a comfy spot to gather and eat. Participants should bring something to share and all the utensils needed for eating and sharing their dish (unless the host says otherwise)
Wrap up with an educational demonstration or active participation. Horses from onsite or from participants (with permission) may be used. A conceptual presentation without a demonstration with horses is AOK. This should be no longer than 2 hours.
A clear schedule of the day is published well in advance allowing attendees to come for the entire Meet & Greet or for just a portion of the day. Any guest or supporter fees are payable regardless of amount of time spent at the Meet & Greet.
The demonstration and other Meet and Greet activities will be video’d and photographed for promotional purpose. HHCC agrees to allow the demonstrator and the host to approve any video footage or photographs prior to making them public. HHCC will also provide the host and the demonstrator with copies of the photographs and video for their own promotional use with the understanding that all photos and video footage remain the property of HHCC and will not be re-produced or sold without prior written consent of the HHCC.
HHCC Meet & Greet – Demonstration Guidelines
- Demonstrator must carry own liability insurance and is responsible for getting any releases signed before demo is done.
- Demonstrator agrees to provide an educational demo of at least 1 hour long with no expectation of compensation from the host, the demo horse owner or HHCC.
- Demonstrator is responsible for providing everything they will need to do demonstration. Including the horse.
- The host or HHCC may be able to provide a horse, but it’s up to the demonstrator to let the organizers know of their needs.
- The demonstrator agrees to advertise the Meet and Greet through their network as well as through the HHCC network.
- HHCC agrees to publicize the demonstrators work through the E-newsletter and Facebook prior to the Meet and Greet.
HHCC Meet & Greet Host Guidelines
- Host may do own demo or may ask another HHCC member to do the demonstration. If the host does not have anyone who they would like to do the demo, HHCC may select someone for them.
- Hosts agree to donate their space, free of cost, to the Holistic Horse Care Cooperative, LLC. Any fees collected from guests will be split 50/50 between the HHCC and the host.
- Host must carry own liability insurance and have own liability releases signed by any attendees.
- Host agrees to advertise the Meet and Greet through their own network as well as HHCC will advertise through theirs.
- Host agrees to provide a space – table or other layout area – for all HHCC members in attendance to place 1 – 8.5” x 11” flyer and/or 1 business card.
Sale of Items at HHCC Meet & Greets
- Only the Host, Demonstrator and/or Holistic Horse Care Cooperative, LLC may have items available for purchase set out at HHCC Meet and Greets.
- All HHCC members are encouraged to bring 1 informational flier but no product to Meet & Greets.
HHCC chapter groups .
- HHCC will provide e-blast promotion and Facebook promotion for chapter Meet & Greets
- HHCC will provide banners and any printed materials to chapter organizer.
- Chapter organizer will provide HHCC with all graphics and info required to promote Meet & Greet
- Chapter organizer and host will split all guest and supporter fees collected at the Meet & Greet.
- Chapter organizer receives standard sales representative commissions on any memberships that were purchased through their activities.
- Current commission rate base to be discussed at time of signing contract with HHCC
