WOUND HEALING WITH PHOTONIC THERAPY AND THE TOUCH AND TORCH METHOD (TTM)

By Janet Crow

Photonic healing is successful in the treatment of all types of wounds including fresh wounds, old wounds, external wounds, internal wounds, and surgical incisions.

The benefits of healing wounds with photonic therapy and TTM include:

*A three to five times faster healing time

*Can prevent, reduce, or eliminate inflammation

*Can prevent, reduce, or eliminate scarring,

*Can prevent, reduce, or eliminate infection

*Can prevent, reduce, or eliminate proud flesh

*Can prevent, reduce, or eliminate pain

*Totally natural, non-invasive, non-traumatic

The Touch and Torch Method can prevent the formation of granulated tissue and proud flesh when used initially on fresh wounds and can reduce or eliminate proud flesh on chronic wounds.   Photonic healing works at the cellular level.  All cells are negatively charged on the inside and positively charged on the outside with a constant exchange to keep the cells balanced.  When there is damage to the cells, as with a wound, the neutral balance of the cells is interrupted (traumatized) and an imbalance occurs.   The application of Photonic therapy to the wound area helps to rebalance these traumatized cells allowing an unimpeded natural healing process.

Inflammation caused by wounds also impedes the healing process, causes damage to joints, and is a major cause of pain in many wounds.  By eliminating the inflammation with TTM from the onset of the wound severe pain can be avoided and healing process is accelerated most often preventing the need for pain medications, antibiotics or sutures.

Below are three examples that show how TTM is used on fresh wounds, older wounds, and surgical incisions.

FRESH WOUNDS

JJ is a four year old Quarter Horse mare.   She ripped a “V”about 4 inches long and 2 inches wide at the widest point on the underside of her jaw on the right jawbone.   Experience with this kind of wound in the past I knew that the flap of the “V” normally died and curled back to form a lump of dead tissue or is usually advisable to cut it off.  Gravity was not in our favor so I cleaned the wound with water and “pasted” the flap back up over the wound with Vaseline.
I performed TTM and sprayed with scarlet oil.

The next morning (24 hours later) the wound edges had already begun to mend back together and the “flap” tissue looked healthy.  There was no inflammation and the wound was dry and clean and looked like it was days old instead of hours old.

The wound was completely healed in three weeks.  No drugs, sutures or antibiotics were used.  No scarring or proud flesh occurred and the entire flap remained viable and reattached itself the wound edges.   I performed TTM treatments every other day for one week.

OLD WOUNDS

With wounds that have healed or partially healed with granulated tissue and proud flesh TTM can be used effectively to reduce and modify or completely resolve these conditions.   Granulated tissue is formed when blockages occur due to imbalances caused by trauma and inflammation.   Granulated tissue will continue to build until the blockage is removed.

When the blockage is removed with TTM the body is able to heal unimpeded, flush the granulated tissue and continue the healing process.   There is typically a 60% to 80% improvement in 24 hours on proud flesh treated with TTM.   Excessive scarring can also be reduced and flushed to prevent further buildup and possible future damage.  Scar tissue is not elastic and can impede the function of joints, muscles, tendons, and ligaments.  It is possible to keep scarring at a minimum with TTM treatments or reduce scar tissue on chronic wounds.  Scar tissue over tendons, ligaments, or joints can continue to build up over months and years and may eventually affect the soundness of an otherwise healthy horse.

SURGICAL INSCISIONS

Junior is a 4 year old cutting/reining bred, sorrel Quarter Horse stallion.  He had just started his show career and had several shows under his belt (saddle) when catastrophe struck.

It all began when Junior started to exhibit colic symptoms.  When he didn’t respond to standard colic treatments he was rushed to Colorado State University Equine Center.  It was determined there that Junior had a twisted left testicle and a portion of the small intestine had slipped through the twist and was damaged.

Surgery was immediately performed to remove a portion of the small intestine and the left testicle, both of which were damaged. Junior was to stay at CSU for several days to recover before going home.  The owner checked on him each day and each day he seemed to be more depressed and not improving.  He seemed to perk up a bit when the owner was there and he decided to bring him home to recover.  Once home it was determined that he was in severe pain which had caused him to become depressed and lose his will.

Having had good results with I had used TTM on some of the owners other horses for various issues I was called in to see if I could help him.  When I began to examine Junior I could not believe the severity of the inflammation and swelling under his belly starting at the incision sites and filling the whole underbelly.  The inflammation was so severe that it felt like bone to the touch.

I performed TTM on the incision sites and the inflammation areas and was able to see immediate results.  The flushing process began and the pressure was starting to lessen.  When I came 2 days later for his second treatment Junior’s attitude and spark were back.  He was almost back to his old self.  The inflammation was reduced over 50% and the intense pressure was gone.  With the second treatment you could watch the inflammation move out immediately underneath the torch.  Two days later all the inflammation was gone except a small area right around the testicle incision which continued to dissipate normally.   I treated him the third and final time to finish the flushing process and his progress continued to be quick and uneventful.

Pain management is critical in wound healing.  Junior had lost his will and had given up because of the pain even though he was on pain medication.  Once the pain was removed his habits became normal again and the healing process was accelerated.
